Static QR Codes (One-off payment)

Here you can purchase Static QR Codes- which CANNOT be changed after it is made. These are scanned by smart phones and have a variety of different functions, the most common being to automatically link the smart phone to the encoded URL when scanned. They can also be used to automatically create calendar events, add contact information, make a phone call and send a text as well as various other functions. We can encode any information you like into a QR Code. Please let us know what you would like encoded in the ‘additional information’ section when filling out your details.

These QR codes are created automatically (as long as they aren’t too complicated) and emailed to you within a few minutes.
If the QR code is complicated, or somehow fools our automation system, we will manually create the QR Code and email it to you. For manual operation, this will normally take around 2-3 working days, depending on the time of day/week that you make the order.

Business Cards (VCards) –

These types of QR Codes are primarily used on business cards. When a business card QR Code is scanned by a smartphone, an individual’s business card details will appear on the Smartphone screen. The Smartphone user will then be able to save the individual as a ‘Contact’ on their phone (Name, Phone, Email, Position, Company etc).

If you want your QR Code to contain business card information (VCard or MeCard), please put the following details into the “Additional Information” section when checking out. Note: if you need your QR Code to be small (e.g. 3cm x 3cm), only provide us with the essential information & leave out the rest.

For an example, you can encode the following information into the VCard:

Job Title:
Address: (street, post code, city, state/province, country)
Mobile Phone:
Website URL:

Websites (URLs) –

If you want your QR Code to connect a Smartphone user to a particular website, please put the URL address for the website into the “Additional Information” section when checking out (or else email it through to us). We will then turn it into a QR Code for you.
Events (VCalendar) – If you want your QR Code to contain information about an upcoming event, please put the following details into the “Additional Information” section when checking out:

1. Event Name:
2. Event Description:
3. Location of Event:
4. Event Start Date/Time:
5. Event End Date/Time: (Optional)

Other – We can produce many other types of QR Barcodes at your request, including the following: Make a Phone Call; Send an Email or SMS; Facebook Profiles (or Likes); Linkedin Profiles (or Share); Twitter Profiles; Android Market Publisher/Package, or Wi-Fi Access Points.
  • Static QR Code Images

A QR Codes (Quick Response Code – QR Barcodes) are the most popular type of 2D “matrix barcode”. They can be read easily by smartphones & camera phones (if they have a barcode scanner app or compatible camera app) and can be used in many different ways. They are commonly used to link people who scan the code to a particular website. Watch the video here that explains this in more detail.

Here you can purchase Static QR Code images. These will be emailed through to you in 5 different formats (Bmp, Eps, Tiff, Jpeg, Pdf) once the order has been received.

To be able to do this, we need the URL (Website link-Uniform Resource Locator) or other information you wish encoded into the QR code. If you don’t supply this the automation cannot make the QR code. Please decide how many QR codes you need, add that quantity to the Cart. Then at the checkout page enter the data or URL you want to be encoded into the “Additional information” box on the checkout page.

*** (To ensure your physical QR code has a longer life span, we recommend programming your QR code with a QR redirect. This allows you to redirect your QR code to different links in the future, multiple times, without changing the physical QR code. It also allows you to monitor traffic from the QR code. If you need this type of QR-code, you can also consider our Dynamic QR-code (Free redirection for the first 2 years). Please think about your real need before you buy Static or Dynamic QR-code)

    STATIC QR Codes
    – these encode YOUR URL directly in the QR code
    – these are permanent – they will work as long as your website URL doesn’t change

    – unlimited scans
(these can also be used for things other than URLs eg encoding text, V business cards, sending an email or SMS message)

*** One-off payment without any additional annual fee for the Static QR-code, but the information encoded in the QR-code cannot be changed after it is generated.

QR Code Size

If a QR Code is printed onto a business card it can be fairly small (e.g. 3 or 4 cm). However, if a QR Code is going to go on a billboard or poster – and people are going to scan it from a distance – then it will need to be much bigger (e.g. 1 metre wide). Let us know how big your QR Code needs to be when making your order.

NOTE: If there is a lot of data contained in your QR Code (e.g. lots of text, or a long URL address), the QR Code will need to be larger to scan well. If your QR Code contains a long website URL address, you can shorten it by using a URL shortener (e.g.

After you receive your QR Code, please test it to make sure it works well (and let us know if you’re having any problems). You can re-size it if necessary.

For website URLs or a single line of text with no commas in it, the system might create the QR-code automatically within 15 minutes. Other data like business Vcards with more information, we will manually create the QR Code for you, and email it to you, once we receive your order. This will normally take around 2-3 working days, depending on the time of day/week that you make the order.
